I decided to name this site Zhao Lu Zhai 朝露齋 (the Studio of Morning Dew) because I have come to feel like each phase of my life has been as ephemeral as drops of dew on the morning grass. From my time in college to my adventures in China, and now back home as a recent graduate, I feel like each moment has been passing by faster and faster, like droplets of dew evaporating in the sun.

Who knows how long this fresh drop of dew will last?

Definitely not forever, but while it exists—while this exists—it will be here for others to gaze at it and see how it reflects the world around it.
